This brings up several questions:

1.  In a back to back configuration the lenses will be pointing in
opposite directions.  How do you measure the 
interocular?

2.  What sort of a viewfinder will be used, since in the back to back
configuration the viewfinders are also back to back?

3  What sort of a viewer are you going to use for back to back cameras
that have produce two completely different images?  I think that even
"The Godfather of Stereo" Paul Wing would have a problem coming up with a
viewer that would fuse these images.
