P3D Cleveland Image # 3

My last image called "Carhop" was a "filler". I might as well have named
it " coin-toss" because this is how it was selected. The shot is alittle
"artsy-fartsy" attempt to express depth by shooting through the car door
windows of dozens of classic cars parked side by side. The image appears
to look through car after car to infinity. The image scored well earning
an honorable mention....I'll take it. Full of regret that I had not
selected another image, I waited for T's Royal Flush...a sure 1st place
again?
T threw in a garden variety shot....yes, literally a wild garden variety
shot. YES!!! I thought....flowers...flowers, flowers!!!! I hate
flowers!!!:-) The judges will hate the flowers too!!! :-) I take shots
of flowers...they are nice...I have some really good shots of
flowers...BUT...I will not enter a flower in a competition because why?
Because it's only A FLOWER!! I WAS RIGHT!!! :-) The judges sprayed
Round-up all over the mess and gave it an average score for " little or
no center of interest". ( actually I thought the shot was great...too
bad) As it stands now...I have a fighting chance. I don't think I'll
stay near the top too long though. The quality of the work is so much
better this year. Everyone had some great shots! I was so glad to take
"Peoples Choice" award with the "Con-air" shot! Peoples Choice is most
satisfying because the majority decides. It's a good feeling to have
your work appreciated like this! For alot of you ( T, Boris, and the
hundreds of other P3ders) this is commonplace to win awards in much
larger arenas. My hats off to all of you! Mark
