Kodachrome is archival only when stored in cool, dark, dry conditions. Heat
accelerates aging. Moist conditions are ideal for molds and fungus. So many
people store their old photos in the attic or basement -- neither provide
ideal conditions. Chances are, your old photos were improperly stored
somewhen along the way.
