P3D Road Trip (to ISU)

Like others I enjoyed reading of Gary Schacker's drive
to  the SCSC meeting.  Reports like this really give
the sense of a world wide stereo community for me.
More please!
The message was particularly relevant as I had just
come in  from putting the top box on my people carrier
(do you call them MPVs? in USA), checking the tyre
pressures and oil etc in readiness for driving to the
ISU Congress in Lindau. I don't want to play one upmanship
with George or Gary regarding drives to a stereo meeting,
but while they may have to negotiate traffic jams and snow,
we have to cross the North Sea!! My teenage son Peter
 will be joining me for the trip, and this will be his second
ISU convention. In previous years each of my daughters has
attended an International ViewMaster convention in Germany.
I don't think there could be any better introduction to stereo for
a young person than the high quality of presentations, and 
above all the friendliness of the stereo community.
I will be away for about 10 days so apologies for the delay in 
any replies to messages.
