The Ricoh XR-10M doesn't have a built in flash. I bought a dedicated Ricoh
flash but haven't gotten around to trying it yet. *There is Aperture
priority auto-exposure- you pick the aperture and the camera chooses the
shutter speed. The two cameras don't always arrive at the same speed
though. I'm still figuring out how trustworthy the built in light meter is.
 No auto-focus.

Works the other way around too. I wouldn't see a Realist format or any
self contained camera as a replacement for my twinned SLRs. My favorite
technique in stereo photography is varying lense seperation - this creates
all sorts of opportunities to capture depth when shooting scenics. Try that
with a Realist...sure, fixed lense seperation can force you to come up with
creative solutions, but when standing on the GW bridge looking out at New
York City, I'll go with the extra seperation.
Of course I'd still like to have along a Realist format for less expansive
subjects, and my Nimslo (the 3-D Swiss Army Knife!) for close-ups, portraits
and lenticulars.
