Yes, with two complications: 1) Mounting in 41x101 mounts is difficult
as you have no sprocket holes to work with, 2) In cases of close-ups
mainly, the cameras must converge or there will not be enough film width
to use a Realist mount and set the correct stereo window. These two
complications (plus the synchronized shutters) led me to get an RBT X4
camera. It costs a lot of money for frustration-free stereo :-)

I fully agree! That's why I use both stereo cameras and SLRs. Each
one in its own domain. There is no question about that.
