Dave,
Very well put.....Also having worked processing film I've seen it
all from grossly under or overexposed film to people who have
dropped the film in the ocean and forgetting to tell us this minor
point.
What's that old saying:"SH%& in SH@* out".
You can't make something out of nothing.
