P3D Re: Ilex Paragon Lenses

Thanks Rob and Dr. T -- Excellent information for both my idle curiosity
and concerning the 7p conversion question!
Dr. T: Yes, serial number, stamped on the bottom, is under 10,000 -- it
is A2551. The efforts you mentioned at matching lenses seems to have
paid off with this camera -- the camera makes pairs that are very
comfortable to view.
Before I got this Realist, about 17 years ago, my stereo photography
included twinned Brownie Starflash cameras for both prints and
"superslides" both viewed with a folding print viewer from an aerial
photo class I had taken.
I also made some viewmaster reels from 110 size slides -- hand cut with
scissors (while trying to avoid finger prints).
You can therefore understand why, after getting the stereo Realist and
viewing slides mounted by Kodak, I was very satisfied. (I'll survive the
news that the Ilex Paragons aren't good candidates for 7p.)
Thanks again for the info.
Matt
