As one of many who can parallel view just fine but can only rarely get my
eyes to cross I'd suggest the three-panel method which supports both types
of viewing. But then your editor might feel that each stereo picture takes
the place of three other (perhaps mediocre, definitely flat) images. Maybe
you can point out that your two images have three dimensions, whereas a
thousand of her shots will still only have two. Whereas a picture may be
worth a thousand words, a 3D picture is worth a thousand well chosen words.
