I have had this 'problem' with all the Realist cameras I have owned 
(three 3.5's and one 2.8 German lens). I have used mainly 
Ektachrome but Fuji as well with no real difference.

My trick to overcoming this is to basically just loosen up the film on 
the canister side by turning the spool one or two turns. I do this each 
time just before I advance the film. I found this also helped in 
maintaining a much more even spacing of the film chips. Before I 
was doing this the spacing was quite varied with some slight 
overlaps and even a few torn sprocket holes that cause major 
overlapping and ruined frames.
