Can't be.  There's no way to tell how long someone has been on the list.

I'm guessing the "high-volume posters" seem like long-time 
contributors simply due to familiarity. There's no way to tell how 
long a given person has been here except by remembering their posts, 
and you are more likely to remember a high-volume poster than a 
low-volume poster.

In other words, we are unlikely to remember the low-volume, long-time 
members.  Additionally, there's no way to count the people who joined 
long ago and were chased off or grew tired.
