RE: Steven Stultz supposed that his new TDC Vivid is fixed focus
because he did not see the lenses move and he turned
focus/rangefinder knob. This shows how easy it is to be mislead by
appearances..Like the Realist and Revere/Wollensak, the TDC
VIVID focuses by moving the FILM PLANE!!! Appartently this
copied from Realist as it allows the lens panel to be adjusted as a
unit with focusing elsewhere..ie. matching of lenses and gearing of
f/stops. The TDC VIVID is really the MOST PERFECT stereo
camera, having the controls as Kodak exposure guides, ortho
stereo (same as eye spacing), neat depth of field indicators and
bubble level in viewfinder. Some comments recently on bright areas
in interior..when I fixed my F40 Verascope with a matt black paint
they availble from 3M is also treated the Vivid and Realist. The film
speed goes to 100 which is fine as for viewing in view no faster film
should be used anyway.. BobH
