P3D OSPS Meeting Part 1

Somehow I was elected to be in charge of audio for a photography club.
Next year I hope to work my way up to refreshments coordinator. So I lug
a Yamaha wedge monitor,6 channel 200W power amp with 12 band graphic EQ,
Shure 57 mic, shure wireless transmitter, dual dolby HX pro cassette
deck, gold RCA interconnects, Rockman headphones, test-tone source, and
assorted adapters/connectors....you know.....the garden variety audio
gear every stereo photographer carries around in their Tamarac. There
were more wires lying around than used during the filming of " Virus"
....not even Jamie Lee Curtis
could tame the program from PSA....the audio was a constant wrestle, but
once mastered by Grand-master Dottle, the program flowed like beautiful
music........not a hiss could be heard...that is until the tape ended
abruptly. You see, the audio portion was incomplete, and was not
continued on the other side of the tape!
As I searched for the remainder of audio to no avail...Dr T had the
crowd hisses under control.
" Well........here are some more slides".......T quickly responded in
Johnny Carson style." And here are some more...." T responds with the
1-2 punch. ( " What a delivery" I thought....."please don't close with
the hand puppet act" George) Fortunately only a few slides were left. (
a nice program BTW) Time for a break followed by " Wheels" competition.
