P3D Best Realist Slide Scanner?

I have followed a number of discussions re slide scanners.  But I am still 
uncertain as to which slide scanner under $1000 is best using realist format 
slides.  Most scanners seem to have a film guide and 35mm slide guides, which 
must be modified to handle Realist stereo slides.  I would appreciate a 
recommendation on this from some folks who already own scanners....such as 
the Minolta, Nikon, Canon, etc.
