It is unfortunate that censorship generally occurs at the behest of a very
vocal minority.  The majority, consisting of people that are curious and
mature enough to handle challenging material, is hurt by this, but is
naturally unaware of it - the censorship is by definition invisible - and
so their voices are never heard.

I am certain that the holograms created more amazement and joy at SPIE than
dismay, during the period of their display.  Same for Xal's video.

Perhaps times are changing.  At NSA in Green Bay, I exhibited a life-size
semi-nude phantogram on the trade floor, and Lynn Butler's StereoJet prints
(and slide show) also displayed nudity.  No complaints came to us.

Faraday was asked first by Queen Victoria of what use electricity was, and
replied that the question might similarly be asked of an infant; someday,
it would become an adult and then the answer would be known.
