Tom - thanks for that explanaition. Hopefully the p3d archives
won't exceed 17 Tbytes anytime soon! 

It's strange because HD capacity is now outstripping the ability
to back them up (at least conveniently) to tape. RAID arrays
may come more strongly into favor, I'm thinking.
