P3D Flat bed scanners and slides.

Awhile back I posted an inquiry about scanning slides with a flat bed
scanner. I was not having any success using the Microtec scanner that I
had despite their claim to be able to process slides.  This last
Saturday I purchased a Plustek OpticPro ($119)
( http://www.plustekusa.com/scanners/9636T.html )  with which I have had
great success.  Thought I would pass this along for anyone interested.

 I have started adding some of the scanned slides (one of the pair from
Realist slides) to my home page.   (Views of Japan).
