There's also an argument for buying the close-up lenses but leaving the
Nimslo unaltered.  I used to use a Teco-Nimslo and had some problems with
frames advancing inconsistently.  Eventually the film stopped advancing
altogether.   Currently I'm doing a lot of Nimslo close-ups using the
Teco-Nimslo 6" and 12" close-up lenses (highly recommended!) on a Nimslo
camera that hasn't been altered.   I am wasting some film, but I have no
problem switching between shooting normal slides and close-ups on the same
roll, and the camera I'm using has held up for several years of constant
use.
