I don't think there have been any stereo cameras with adjustable lens 
spacing.  Since these would have variable spacing of frames on the film 
(unless some very elaborate system of mirrors and prisms were used), 
cutting and mounting would be pretty difficult.  Variable spacing is 
possible with a twin camera rig, but these tend to have a minimum spacing 
which is about 5 inches or so ... the width of the camera.

I don't know of cameras that offer a 59mm spacing.  Have you tried any of 
the more common cameras, which typically offer 65mm to 70mm spacing?  You 
may find them acceptable.
