Exactly! Not just cutting and mounting but even advancing the
film would be very complicated/impossible.

Yeap! Also, sliding a single camera if it is acceptable for the
application.

There is one that has excactly 59mm spacing. As Gabriel
correctly said, this is the RBT S1 (made of two joined Konica
Hexar 35mm/2.0 cameras)

Yes, these can be perfectly acceptable. Only under certain
controlled conditions and usually by comparing you would be able
to tell the 59mm from the 65mm, from the 75mm.
