Years ago I bought a Leavision KMQ lorgnette viewer with
prisms instead of lenses. One prism diverted
the angle of view upwards, the other downwards, each at
an angle of about 10 degrees. With no magnification the
images were in focus at all time. But unlike the
Viewmagic which uses double mirrors to get parallel lines
of sight like a periscope, this lorgnette could
accommodate larger prints by moving farther away. I
wonder if anyone still offers them for sale. They were
made in West Germany.
