P3D Galapagos

I had the opportunity to see the new IMAX 3D movie "Galapagos" this past
weekend at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. I
was quite impressed; the 3D effect was very good. Both the ground and
underwater scenes were breathtaking. I feel as if I have been to the
islands in person. Here are two sites for information (first, a
description, and second, show information in D.C.):

http://www.imax.com/films/production/galapagos.html
http://www.nmnh.si.edu/museum/DiscoveryCenter/home.html

The film is dedicated to the memories of Noel Archambault and Bill Raisner,
who died in a plane crash during filming.

I would definitely recommend the movie if you find yourself in the D.C.
area.

P.S. I have had some prints made from my test shoot using my homemade
beamsplitter (Digest 3556) and am quite pleased with the results. It will
definitely save me the work of cutting and mounting print pairs for making
my stereo cards. :)
