FWIW, the "STEROFLEX" unit I have is similar to John Smith's
(or as I imagine from the description). My unit has two mirrors
that are adjustable to overlap the two images from the 2x2 projector.
I think I mentioned this gizmo a few years ago when I tried it out.
Another would probably would be with that which might be called a
"reverse beamsplitter". It attaches to the front of a projector. I
think I've seen something similar to this in a photo of a unit on ebay, but
I don't recall the brand.
