You might benefit from freeviewing with an old pair of glasses (i.e. one
with a weaker prescription than your current one). This would shift
your close focus point farther out from 4 inches without moving it all
the way out to your completely corrected distance. Assuming your
astigmatism has remained relatively constant, it should correct that
too.
