P3D John Bairddd

We were really saddened to hear about John Baird.  As were were burning the
midnight oil, packing furiously to leave for ISU on Sept 18.  The Photo 3D
digest came stating that it looked like the end was very near for John.

We set aside some time that night to write John a letter, and off the ISU
we went, and realized that we may not ever speak to him again.

When we returned at the beginning of Oct....we were so elated to hear he
had made a recovery to the point where he was leaving the hospital.  We
immediately called him and we spoke for an hour about life, and 3D of
course.  John was hell bent to jump back in to everyday life...and of
course we all know 3D was a major part of his every day.

Then the news of a few days ago.  Cancer is horrible.  We saw it take my
mother (Jan's mom)  in law...after a year long struggle a while back, a
ruthless killer it is.

We are glad to have known John, and somehow, at a future NSA, where the
rooms are , that 3D  workshops are held....we know his spirit and energy
will be there with all of us, so much as it was in all those past NSA's.
Bless you John Baird, and may you find plenty of great neon lights....and
low ASA film, to keep you busy, wherever you are.
