P3D Dirty Filthy Red Handed Cheaters

OK....so the subject line is a little harsh. :-) I've become very lax
with my mounting procedures and would like to know how others cheat to
save time etc. First, I used to mount every slide, now I throw alot
away. I regressed from using tweezers and gloves, to using my bare
hands. Lately, I've substituted the white tape tabs ( spicer/cardboard
mounts) with a piece of scotch tape across the top of the chip. Then I
seal the bottom with a file label without taping the bottom of the
chips! :-) I've loosened the channels of a slip-in mount to use as a
preview mount. My better images are mounted in RBT mounts, again using
my bare hands. I use a film cleaner ( careful to avoid the plastic with
RBT's) only for my best shots. Dust is removed using a can of compressed
air. ( The cardboard mounted images get wiped off with an opti-cloth,
only if they are good ones) Marginal image chips are thrown into a box
where I review them after several months.....I'll decide to mount 1-2,
throw a few way, and return the bulk of them to the box for later
review.:-) I have ruined some images by blowing beer breath or iced tea
breath and spewing all over the chips. Besides, that seemed easier than
running for the compressed air can. I'd really like to know how folks
can stay clinically clean, organized and find the time to mount their
images?
