P3D Siegfried and Roy

I saw the Siegfried and Roy movie tonight, and liked it, even though I
generally dislike:
-Bad child actors
-CG animation
-heavily made-up grinning men in leather
-animals in cages
It has plenty of all of the above, yet somehow it all works. And as
others have said, the 3D is really, really good. The CG effects are
used to create deliberately surreal worlds, not, as is so often the case,
to save time and money on sets. The compositing is flawless- and I've seen
a lot of bad work in 2D- I can't even imagine how hard it must have been.
You can forget that you're watching a "3d movie" and can just immerse
yourself in this rather freakish little world. (and it looks like the
tigers get to hang around out of their cages when they're not working, so
that's ok too. The scenes of S&R at home playing with the kitties are
worth the price of admission..)
