This kind of experimental hardware is both an art and science.  Some of
us consider such projects "serious fun." His project selections,
material choices, design features, and documentaion methods are all well
considered.  Right down to the slidebar crosseye digital photos and
html.
The age of Heathkits and other do-it yourself projects is not gone -
it's stronger than ever due to new stuff.  The future is arriving now -
and it is building on the best of the past.  Techno-toys are are a great
way to surf the wave of change......
