P3D Cartoon features 3D (sort-of)

My son watches a cartoon on PBS every morning called "Dragon Tales". This
morning the brother and sister that "wish" themselves to a land where they
play with dragons every day brought along a comic book with special glasses.
The little boy showed them the comic about his favorite superhero and how it
looked when viewed with the glasses. They passed the glasses around going
"ooohhh" and "wowww" with one character reaching out to try and touch the
scene. Then one character began to look around with the glasses and
commented how everything look "sparkly". I would guess the writers had seen
a Chromadepth book. The rest of the show involved finding the superhero
with the glasses. Chromadepth books are fun and fascinating for kids and
adults but I still feel like this is one more diversion from "good" 3D that
keeps the demand down for "natural looking", full color, high resolution 3D.
I like it when people react with "wow" to my slides but my favorite was
years ago when I showed a man a picture of his house I had taken. He looked
for a minute and then said "the reality of this is frightening".
