You can purchase an LED Array inexpensively. As for circuitry, it is no
different than any lamp. I drive them with a simple battery circuit; although
there are special drivers available if you need some type of control.

If anyone is interested in LEDs, search the web for manufacturers such as
Ledtronics or HP. Tremendous variety out there.
