Film grain is worse in 3d because each
eye sees a different grain pattern. Most
people wouldn't recommend using film faster
than 100 for 35mm stereo.
The new Fuji Provia III (100 speed) has finer
grain then Velvia (50 speed) or Kodachrome
25 though it is not as sharp as these films.
It also pushes well so you may be able to
shoot at 320 or 400 and get good fine grained
results at the expense of contrast and more
expensive developing.
(I mostly shoot medium format to
get away from the grain problem)
