I bought a VRSurfer set 2 years ago and had some fun watching their video
and limited success viewing things on my computer. I bought a new computer
and carefully researched the monitor and video card to make sure it was
capable of high refresh rates and resolution. It turns out the card does
not work with VRex software, VRex advised me to contact the card vendor (STB
Velocity 4400). I bought a second heaadset so at least 2 could watch the
video and last night I hooked it up so my son and I could watch it together.
Now it appears the sending unit that hooks to the VCR is not working. I
apprecate what VRex has done but driver support seems to be a problem with
many types of hardware and they are no exception. Their headsets are clunky
and somewhat uncomfortable. Why they put that smoked gray cover over the
front I will never know. They offer other (more expensive) products that
are appealing but I am hesitant to spend big bucks with a company that is
not high on my confidence list.
