The ENNA CHROMAR lenses were made in Germany by "ENNA-WERK" Munich (I am
looking now at an advertisement in a German photo magazin named "PHOTO
MAGAZIN"(!) dated April 1957.
Just as you I have tried to find Amaton/Enna comparisons on the Internet
(for example in P3D Archives) but could not find them. The only way to
find out is to get both camera versions in your collection and that is
also what I did. My conclusion? Well I am not 100% sure. I should have
to run another film in the camera's but I think the Enna lenses have a
bit more contrast. The difference is not dramatic. Both Amaton and Enna
are very sharp lenses.
Something else on the Revere: some time ago I asked the list members on
the parallax correction which was (I thought) NON existent on the
Revere. Several list members replied and agreed with me. I remember
there was one photographer who had used the correction during many years
and was very astonished to find out that the position of the little
lever makes no difference. However I discovered the parallax correction
DOES work! (Could you imagine that the manufacturer of such solid and
beautiful camera would cheat us?? ;-) )
