P3D TDC VIVID question

A few hours ago TNT delivered here a TDC Stereo-Vivid camera. What a
splendid design! Camera is in excellent condition and all seems to work
as it ought to work. However there is something which bothers me a bit.
I have e-mailed the seller on this but he could not inform me.
While turning the advance knob the shutter is cocked but at the same
moment I hear a sound, a click, as if the shutter was released already.
When I press the release knob on the front of the camera the shutter is
actually released. Is this "extra click" a feature of the Vivid?
