Regarding the question of which is better , so called 2d, or 3d photography.
I think you are comparing apples and oranges. 3d is as different from the
original form of photography as it is from movie film or
video tape . To say that one is better than the other is not only arrogant,
but it would be like saying that watercolors are better than oils; or that
sculpture is better than painting. Anyway, it's only a medium. What makes
any photograph good is the eye of the person behind the camera and the
degree of that persons perception and technical knowledge and know how.
Without perception, vision and an understanding of light it doesn't
matter what kind of camera you have or how much money you spent on it.

As far as the popularity of 3d as compared to conventional photography, I
think there just hasn't been a lot of information made available to the
public and I'm not too sure that accessories are part of the problem or the
complexity of the process. You have to have slide viewer to view slides
and projectors to view film and VCR's to view video.

I have always been fascinated with 3d myself even though I don't know a
lot about it. At one time every kid had to have a view master. The
prevailing arrogance I've sensed just reading this newsletter makes one
reluctant to ask questions. Is there a site out there for a beginner to
start?
A place where one can feel comfortable asking dumb questions without
feeling like the whole 3d community is snickering at you? Why people
have the need to feel superior to others has always astounded me.
