Guess what... If you've been to an IMAX 3D movie, there's a good change
everyone had headphones (of a sort).

The Liquid Crystal Shutter style of IMAX 3D glasses usually also contain 
small speakers right next to the ear.  IMAX call it PSE (Personal Sound
Environment) and it provides each audience member with a binaural
sound experience in addition to the already impressive sound system 
in the theatre.
