P3D Stereo Dinner this Friday in Manhattan

Maybe you plan to be in Manhattan to do some Christmas shopping.
Maybe you're here all the time. Leave the long lines behind. Soothe
your Pokemon hysteria and find refuge with some fellow stereo
photographers. Set down your wrapped packages, pick up your slides
and viewer, and meet us for a nice dinner and some pleasant
conversation.

We have attracted big crowds recently, and Friday could be huge
again. Lots of people are venturing into the city, drawn by the
photo opportunities and shopping. Plus, plus I'd like to take the
opportunity to buy you a drink to celebrate the season.

Bring along some stereo pictures to share. I've got some
newly-mounted slides I'm proud of, and I'll bet you have some nice
photos, too. As a special feature, I'll be showing some of Greg
Erker's slides. He's the Canadian photo genius known to many of us
as both a photographer and camera inventor. I have a couple images
taken with the medium format fish-eye camera he made. They're nice.
Why not join us?

We always meet on the third Friday of every month at La Cocina, at
85th and Broadway. They make excellent Mexican food; the best,
really. It's nicely decorated upstairs and down, and not at all
expensive. There are several good, big meals on the menu for under
ten bucks. Even though it's a busy season, we often get a section to
ourselves, so we have some room to spread out. The hostess will
cheerfully point us out, although we always seem to be the table
having the most fun.

Join us Friday, Dec 17, at La Cocina, 217 West 85th Street, just off
Broadway. We'll be there starting at 6:30 pm, and we stay until 9 pm
or later. Come and go when you like.

I haven't socked a fake Santa yet this year, but there's still time.
I never got the "Barbie's Malibu Dream House" I requested last year.

Tom
