P3D Technical Help Please

I'm going to place polarized glasses over my Realist lenses, project a
stereo image onto a screen in a dimly lit room. I would like to
photograph a small audience ( say 2 people) viewing the stereo image.
This should produce a 3D audience viewing a 3D image etc. My first
question.....how can I add some light on the audience members without
causing disparities between images. ( keep in mind the polarizers are
over the realist lenses and I cannot preview through the lens) Should
the dim light originate from overhead, or from one side, both sides etc?
My intention is too add a hairlight, thus adding some detail to the
subjects as opposed to full silloughettes. Has anyone had success with
this type of thing, and could you offer some guidance? Thanks.
