I am so excited that I have finally been able to download depthcharge and
am getting closer and closer to being able to view all your photos. And
don't worry, I try to think in 3D, (I said try), and not linear so I won't
give any of them a pecking order. I am neither critic nor authority; simply
seeker of beauty and truth, which is, I admit, sometimes more than I can
bear- truth, that is. Anyone out there read Buckminster Fuller? I have
only read a little myself, but I remember he said something like,' turn an
idea around and around, upside down and inside out. '.

Thanks for the memorial for Space Dog J. His spirit lives on, but we're all
just too afraid that the controversy will destroy this wonderful list, I
think, to make further mention of him. It's so sad that on the brink of this
new millenium, we still have not learned , since before the times of
Caravaggio,
(unbelievable information Sergio- the S man? ), to respect one another's
views and feelings, or even to respect one's right to them. We still have
not learned that it is "the clash of ideas," not personalities," that ignites
the
spark of truth." Unfortunately, as we have just witnessed, it is the clash
of personalities that puts out the fire. I hold myself more culpable than
anyone. Perhaps it is my limitation and inability to filter out the noise
and
tune in on the truth of one's message that killed Space Dog after all.
Perhaps the lesson here is that we should be less attached to our own ideas.
Well, I am beginning to bore myself, so I will close this. I much prefer J's
amusing and profound staccato commentary to the drone of my own voice. I am
amazed. He has said more than I have said with about a fifth of the words
and he trusted our capacity to comprehend it in the process. I was also
impressed with the writings of Space Dogs creator.
A very imaginative and amusing man. This technical stuff--hey, I'm working
on it --I really am! Could it be that humor is the solution to our
communication woes?
