P3D Re: Viewing

George you are magnificent! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!
Your explanation was very very comprehensive. Sometimes I feel like you are
all talking Greek! Not this time. Plain, simple English. And I am very
happy to hear that you are all friends. At first I thought you were going to
scream at me for questioning your authority. No question about it -- you are
indeed an authority on this subject. I am just curious why Larry wants to
depart from a technical procedure.
I was just trying to understand it, but I am so happy that it evoked this
response from you because this is exactly the information I need to get
started. And the sooner I
get started the less you will probably hear of my introspections. Well, I
have to have
something to do while I am waiting on these glasses. You're a wonderful
person
George. Bump me up on that list of priorities of yours a number or two, will
ya? Dan is sending me anaglyph glasses. You were going to send me the
other cardboard glasses that I need to see parallel slides, right? And don't
forget the slides. Never mind, I just reread your post and see that it will
do no good to send me slides. Within a couple of weeks after Christmas I
intend to buy that slide bar and a viewer from you-when I figure out which
one I need and the camera Peter mentioned-the toy, so to speak,(with
viewer!). There's really no point in shooting something that I can't see
right now. Sorry Larry, I don't think I am capable of free-viewing. You
gotta tell me there is another way to see your art--I'm intrigued by it. I
will try the celophane! Wouldn't looking at stereo photos on the computer
monitor be like looking at stereo photos on a projection screen? I thought
all I need was a pair of cardboard polarized glasses! So what you are
saying is that unless I get these special glasses to go with Depthcharge or
the photo on the screen uses a java applet that when there is a stereo pair
on the computer screen that I will always see this pair as a pair and they
will not merge as one
3D photo unless I learn the crosseyed or parallel viewing techniques? Will
these glasses that go with Depthcharge merge the stereo pair for me? So, why
don't you just put your slides on a website for me George and I'll buy the
glasses that go with Depthcharge. I can afford to buy the Depthcharge
glasses and a slide bar, but I don't think I can afford to buy every
different format viewer there is out there! They must be very expensive
anyway, I haven't seen a price on any of them, anywhere. Will study your
posts very carefully George. Will visit your site again Larry. ...maybe if
I get closer to the screen. Where would I get a Holmes viewer. Has anyone
ever built a reproduction of one? I want to be able to see your work not
just my own!
