Hi All,

I'm somewhat new to 3D photography but have been a working pro photog
for the past 15 years and have been a "shooter" since I was a kid in the
'50s. When I was a kid we had Viewmasters and for some reason they
didn't make a big impression upon me then...but they sure do now..go
figure.

Last fall I was on Martha's Vineyard and quite by accident viewed some
old WWI glass slides in 3D and that's all it took. I couldn't believe
what I was seeing and it wasn't but a few weeks before I had purchased a
Kodak Stereo camera and on a recent trip back to Cape Cod and Vermont in
October I shot my first 3D images and subsequently got them processed
and mounted. WOW!! I now have 3-Realist 3.5's and the trusty Kodak and a
Realist Red Button viewer but my poor, sad Nikons are whining and
languishing in my camera case. I guess I've got the bug. I have 6 rolls
of Fuji Velvia I just shot on the Vineyard but can't cut them up and
view them in stereo until my next lot of mounts arrives from
Reel3D...however, they look awesome. The light up there is wonderful
esp. during the "magic hour".

I currently reside in Orlando, FL (between trips to the Northeast) and I
hear there is a local stereo camera club in Orlando so I'll check it
out. I'm looking for a 2.8 Realist but have heard they're not much
different from the 3.5 variety. Any comments?

I look forward to expanding my knowledge and interest in 3D here..
