P3D VR Surfer querys...

Firstly, Happy New Year to all, and _THANK_GOODNESS_YOU'RE_BACK_.
I hope that was heartfelt enough!

Now the 3D bit: I got (myself) a VRSurfer set for Christmas :*),
but I cannot get the transmitter
to work at all :*(

I am using a regulated power supply for the 12v DC input, but not
the one supplied with the set as it wants 110v input (and where
would I get that? :*) ? ) . I have checked that it _is_
delivering 12v, and that this is getting through the connector
into the transmitter. I also think that the switch is working.
But NO LEDs light up (there are visible indicator LEDs as well as
the IR ones). Does anyone have any advice for trying to test/fix
it (myself)?

BTW, the person who sold it to me is trying to be as helpful as
possible, but given the very low price I paid, and the time/cost
of sending the unit back to the US, I'd rather try to fix it here
if possible.

If anyone has a surplus transmitter unit for sale, I would like
to buy one.
