I don't know, although some claim that the popularity 
of the 50's 3D films suffered because of this problem. 
I can't say because I haven't rendered an animation 
with the defect. Mainly because it takes my 350 Mhz 
Pentium II a full three days to render 10 seconds of 
stereo animation in full size digital video format 
(720x480). Perhaps I'll make a smaller size test. 
The 640x480 interlaced example that I put on the web 
took about 20 minutes to render, and I ran it a half 
dozen times before I decided to post that one. 
I do want to render a sample of at least 10 seconds 
to show at the OCC meeting.
