P3D StereoTach addaptor rings

Hi kids,
I just purchased a StereoTach beam splitter over the weekend and need an
adaptor ring to attach it directly to a lens. I tried using it with the
original bracket that attaches it via the tripod screw hole, but got
horrible vignetting because the splitter is held away from the lens a short
distance except when I am close focused. The solution to the problem is to
mount the splitter directly onto the lens front but the original adaptor
rings that came with it were for series V. So, does anyone know of a source
of adaptor rings (either 49mm or 52mm)for the StereoTach.

In the absence of an available source for rings what have others done to
mount onto the lens? My idea is to take a Cokin A adaptor ring and turn the
flange down to the proper diameter to be mounted on the SteroTach. The flaw
in that logic is that I have to travel to my parents home to get access to a
lathe to do the work. Hence the desire for a comercially available
solution.

Thanks for any help
-Fritz
