Fritz,

You are absolutely right about the bracket and the vignetting.

I used a 67mm (I think) to 49mm step-down ring. I had to file
out four corners to fit over the StereoTach, making it flush
with the step-down ring. Then I used contact cement to hold it
in place. If you want more details, please e-mail me. It worked
beautifully and I still use it for closeups, where it works
better than the Pentax.

BTW, with this setup, when you screw the beamsplitter onto your
lens, it may not wind up parallel with the camera body! So I
put a thin rubber band around the threads first. It squashes
into place and allows me to line up the splitter the way I
want.
