P3D Stereo Dinner *tomorrow* in Manhattan

Now that things have calmed down from the holidays, why not stop by
to share some stereo slides with an appreciative audience?
If you've never come by, this is how it works: People stop after
work, usually between 6:30 and 7:30. They often bring some slides or
photos to share with the table. We've had 2x2, 5-perf, medium
format, Loreo prints, stereo cards and other formats. Sometimes
people just come to look at the stereo pictures, and that's okay,
too. Cameras and other apparatus also show up from time to time.
We put the pictures away (mostly) when dinner arrives, and chat about
techniques, formats, cameras--the sky's the limit. As the table is
cleared off the pictures come back out. People leave when they like,
usually between 9:30 and 11:00. It's always a good time.
It's a friendly scene, usually 5-8 people, maybe as many as ten on a
big night. The table is small enough so you can hear other people
and they can hear you. But big enough to support 2-3 conversations
at once. It's a very personable evening.
We always meet on the third Friday of every month at La Cocina, at
85th and Broadway. They make excellent Mexican food; the best,
really. It's nicely decorated upstairs and down, and not at all
expensive. There are several good, big meals on the menu for under
ten bucks. We often get a section to ourselves, so we have some room
to spread out. The hostess will cheerfully point us out; we are the
table having the most fun.
Join us tomorrow, Dec 21, at La Cocina, 217 West 85th Street, just
off Broadway.

exaggerated threat, a huge angst-washed waste of money that got
mounds more attention than it deserved. "
