Just make sure you stay in the French Quarter even though it will cost more.
Don't be seduced by lower room rates to stay in the suburbs.

You can save the money the room costs by not renting a car.  Take the bus to the
cemetaries and to City Park to shoot the big oak trees.

You will be too early for Mardi Gras, but there will be so much to shoot you
won't be able to bring enough film.  Just go nuts.
