Certainly! That's why I tried to make it clear that the S1
is good for me but it might not be good for you. In my web
page I explain what are the features of the camera that I
enjoy. Many people will not agree with my philosophy of stereo...

After I posted my message I started thinking about my photography.
Looking at my PSA salon acceptances, I see that the stereo rig
that gives the most successful results is twin SLRs or single SLRs
(handheld or on a slide bar). Tabletops, hyperestereos, macros,
portraits, and a variety of other images are possible with SLR cameras.

But when I think about what is dear to my heart, the pictures of my
family, my children, spontaneous snapshots, these would not have
been possible with SLRs. The S1 shines there. So, the question
is, what do you want, what do you like, WHO ARE YOU,
and.... how much money can you spend?

Talking about money.................. A month ago I got a Dell
laptop used from eBay because I thought I needed one (that's
a long story...) I paid $400 for it. Out of curiosity, I looked
in back issues of PC World and found this model selling brand
new in June 1996 for $4,400! Talking about depreciation!!!

Yeah... I know... someone used it for 3 years and made a fortune
trading stocks while at work, etc... But now think of this:
Someone bought an RBT S1 for $2500 (I am making up the price)
in June of 1996. Today he has a camera that he can sell right away
for $3000+ because there is a year-long line of people waiting to
get one. He used the camera, took his precious pictures and
now he can have his money back. (OK, he could have used the
money to buy eBay stock and he would be able to get 10
RBT S1s today... but that's another story! :-))

My point? Certainly there is no such thing as the world's best
stereo camera. There are many choices out there. So, do some
soul-searching and figure out what you want from your life and
from stereo photography. And have in mind that life is short!
Very short!!!

PS. It's either the episode of Frazier I watched last night or my
medication has not stabilized yet!!!
