I can attest to this - even in 2D, I was in the Fort Worth
IMAX and for awhile (maybe still) they opened with a helicopter
flight over the downtown area. I'm generally not subject to 
motion sickness, but there was a slight but perceptible
up/down movement in the picture (this was in the days before
steadi-cams and I assume the camera was bolted to the aircraft). 
Either than or there was s stroboscopic effect as the blades
rotated around and cut some of the ambient light. At any rate
it made me distinctly queasy!
