P3D Repair question ISO DUPLEX camera

The diaphragm of my Duplex stereo camera is blocked and I should like to
take off the aluminium colored lens plate in order to inspect the
diaphragm mechanism. Until now I had no success. Is there anybody who
has experience on this?? I hate to damage something!
The Duplex is a great camera. I made wonderful portraits with it.
